Transgender voice therapy services are offered via teletherapy for clients looking to effectively alter the feminine or masculine qualities of their voice and communication. Voice therapy utilizes non-invasive techniques to help transgender, non-binary, and gender-expansive individuals alter various aspects of their voice in order to increase confidence and avoid developing harmful vocal behaviors that can lead to vocal nodules and other voice problems. Whether an individual has undergone hormone replacement therapy or not, voice therapy is very effective in helping masculinize or feminize the voice and communication style. Voice therapy is designed to address the following areas:
Pitch
Resonance
Intonation
Rate of speech
Volume and intensity
How speech sounds are produced
Social aspects of language
Body language and non-verbal communication
Any individual experiencing physical vocal discomfort, gender dysphoria, or decreased confidence in social and professional situations may benefit from transgender voice therapy. Contact us today to learn more about our services and determine the best next step.
