Occupational Therapy
Speech by the Beach, LLC provides speech and language therapy and occupational therapy services for children, teens, and adults. Our office is conveniently located in Central Square in Linwood, NJ.
The clinicians at Speech by the Beach are all highly trained and skilled within their disciplines with advanced training in areas such as Childhood Apraxia of Speech and Autism Spectrum Disorder. All therapy sessions are individual unless your child or teen is signed up for dyad or group sessions. Families are always encouraged to be an active part of our therapy sessions, as we understand the importance of empowering the most important people in our clients' lives.
Our evaluations are carefully planned based on the information provided during the intake process. Our team uses a combination of parent input, conversation, observation, standardized assessments, and therapist-client interaction, to develop a comprehensive understanding of each client's skills and challenges. Evaluation results are used to guide individualized therapy plans and goals along with family and client preferences.
We welcome opportunities to collaborate with other members of your child's team, including teachers, school-based therapists, or other professionals.

Speech and Language Therapy
At Speech by the Beach, we provide speech and language therapy focusing on improving a child's speech production, receptive and expressive language abilities, social cognition, and the use of verbal and non-verbal language within social contexts. Our occupational therapy services are designed to increase our clients' confidence and ability to participate in play, learning, activities of daily living, and self-help skills. Using evidence-based approaches, our sessions are directly related to each child's environment, whether that is a home playroom or a high school classroom.

Parent Coaching
Parents often find themselves asking what can they be doing at home to ensure their child is making progress. At Speech by the Beach, our goal is to empower the most important people in our clients' lives, their families. We spend time at the end every session providing tips and feedback to parents; however, sometimes our families benefit from more dedicated coaching time. Parent coaching is also an excellent option for our youngest clients who may not be ready for direct therapy. Our coaching sessions are designed to teach important strategies for shaping communication, modeling social skills, and identifying opportunities for practice within daily routines and play.
